DTC C051D-54: Multi-axis Acceleration Sensor Module "A" Missing Calibration; DTC C1210-54: Yaw Rate Sensor Missing Calibration [03/2019 - 01/2023]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM CALIBRATION 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake / Utility / Calibration.
    4. Perform "Calibration".

      Refer to CALIBRATION [03/2019 - 01/2023]

      Chassis > Brake > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Calibration

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT

  2. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Operate the Techstream to clear the codes. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake / Trouble Codes.

      Chassis > Brake > Clear DTCs 

    2. Press the DTC clear button.
    3. Turn the engine switch off.

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT

  3. RECONFIRM DTC 
    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    2. Read the DTCs following the prompts on the Techstream. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake / Trouble Codes.

      Chassis > Brake > Trouble Codes 

    3. Check if the same DTC is output.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs C051D-54 and C1210-54 are not output. A
      DTCs C051D-54 and/or C1210-54 are output. B

  4. CHECK YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR INSTALLATION 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor has been installed properly.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2014 - ]

      OK

      The yaw rate and acceleration sensor should be tightened to the specified torque.

      The yaw rate and acceleration sensor should not be installed in a tilted position.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    INSTALL YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR CORRECTLY. Refer to  INSTALLATION [09/2014 - ]

  5. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake / Data List.

      Chassis > Brake > Data List

    4. Check the yaw rate and acceleration sensor output value displayed on the Techstream.

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2017 - 01/2023]

    REPLACE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]
