DTC U0122: Lost Communication with Vehicle Dynamics Control Module [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM) 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 11/2017]

      Powertrain > Cruise Control > Clear DTCs 

    2. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.

      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed for which cruise control operation is possible.
      2. Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control switch (ON/OFF button).
      3. Push the cruise control switch to -/SET to begin control of vehicle speed by the cruise control system.
    3. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 11/2017]

      Powertrain > Cruise Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      CAN communication system DTCs are not output A
      CAN communication system DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2014 - 08/2016]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2016 - 11/2017] 

    Result: 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2014 - 11/2017]
