How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [10/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS AND SYMPTOM CHECK

  3. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

  4. INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [12/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2018 - 08/2019]

  5. CHECK FOR DTC* (AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling*1 or AFS*2 / Trouble Codes.
      1. *1: for Single Beam Headlight without AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)
      2. *2: for Triple Beam Headlight or for Single Beam Headlight with AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - 08/2019] 

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes

  6. CHECK FOR DTC* (LIGHTING SYSTEM) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body, HL AutoLeveling *1 or AFS *2 / Trouble Codes.
      1. *1: for Single Beam Headlight without AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)
      2. *2: for Triple Beam Headlight or for Single Beam Headlight with AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - 08/2019]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes

  7. CHECK FOR DTC* (AFS (ADAPTIVE FRONT-LIGHTING SYSTEM)) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Trouble Codes.
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - 08/2019]

      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes
