How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 

    HINT: 

    • In troubleshooting, confirm that the problem symptoms have been accurately identified. Preconceptions should be discarded in order to make an accurate judgment. To clearly understand what the problem symptoms are, it is extremely important to ask the customer about the problem and the conditions at the time the malfunction occurred.
    • Gather as much information as possible for reference. Past problems that seem unrelated may also help in some cases.
    • The following 5 items are important points for problem analysis:
      What Vehicle model, system name
      When Date, time, occurrence frequency
      Where Road conditions
      Under what conditions? Driving conditions, weather conditions
      How did it happen? Problem symptoms

  3. PRE-CHECK 
    1. Measure the battery voltage with the ignition switch off.

      Standard voltage

      11 to 14 V

      HINT: 

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

    2. Check the fuses and relays.
    3. Check the connector connections and terminals to make sure that there are no abnormalities such as loose connections, deformation, etc.

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the GTS, check for CAN communication system DTCs.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2023 - ]

      CAN DTCs are not output A
      CAN DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2023 - ]

  5. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Using the GTS, check for DTCs.

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Trouble Codes 

    2. If a DTC is output, record the DTC.

      DTCs are not output A
      DTC C1000-1C, C1005-1C, C100A-62, C1A7F-49, C1A93-46, C1A94-47, C1A95-00 or C1AA8-00 is output B
      DTC other than C1000-1C, C1005-1C, C100A-62, C1A7F-49, C1A93-46, C1A94-47, C1A95-00 and C1AA8-00 is output C

    Result: 

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART (C1000-1C, C1005-1C, C100A-62, C1A7F-49, C1A93-46, C1A94-47, C1A95-00 or C1AA8-00). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2023 - ]

  6. CHECK VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (RoB)* 
    1. Using the GTS, check for Vehicle Control History (RoB).

      HINT: 

      Based on the customer interview results, narrow down the cause of the malfunction and check the related Vehicle Control History (RoB).

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Vehicle Control History (RoB)
    2. Make a note of the output Vehicle Control History (RoB).

      Result

      Vehicle Control History (RoB) is output B

  7. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to Problem Symptoms Table.

      Fault is listed in Problem Symptoms Table B

  8. RECONFIRM DTC OUTPUT* 
    1. Using the GTS, clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Clear DTCs 

    2. Reproduce the vehicle conditions that were present when the DTCs that were noted were stored.

      HINT: 

      Refer to each corresponding DTC for details on the detection conditions.

    3. Using the GTS, check for DTCs.

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Trouble Codes
