- CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE
- Measure the voltage of the battery.
Standard Voltage
11 to 14 V
- While referring to the component layout drawings and wiring diagrams, etc., visually inspect for blown fuses, an open or short in a wire harness or improperly connected connectors.
HINT:
If the voltage of the battery is less than 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before performing the diagnosis procedure.

See step 5
- Using the GTS, perform a CAN bus check and check for DTCs to confirm that the CAN communication system is not malfunctioning.
- RECHECK FOR DTCS AND FREEZE FRAME DATA
- Check for and record any DTCs and freeze frame data.
Refer to FREEZE FRAME DATA [10/2023 - ]
Chassis > DRS > Trouble Codes
- Clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.
Chassis > DRS > Clear DTCs
- Based on the saved DTCs and freeze frame data, simulate the malfunction conditions and check if the DTCs are output again.
Result
Result Proceed to DTCs are not output. A DTCs are output. B

See step 6
- Check for and record any DTCs and freeze frame data.
- CHECK FOR VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (RoB)
- Using the GTS, check for vehicle control history (RoB).
Chassis > DRS > Utility
Tester Display Vehicle Control History (RoB) - If vehicle control history (RoB) is output, record the vehicle control history (RoB) and freeze frame data.
Result
