DTC C1298: Linear Solenoid Circuit [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the G131 4WD ECU assembly connector.

   *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to 4WD ECU Assembly)

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G131-2 (SLC+) - G131-1 (SLC-)	20°C (68°F)	2.2 to 2.6 Ω
   G131-2 (SLC+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   G131-1 (SLC-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE 4WD ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 08/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2021 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ] 

Result: 

NG

1. Disconnect the c1 4WD linear solenoid (transmission coupling assembly) connector.

   *a	Component without harness connected (4WD Linear Solenoid (Transmission Coupling Assembly))

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   1 (BSF) - 2 (SLC)	20°C (68°F)	2.2 to 2.6 Ω
   1 (BSF) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   2 (SLC) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE TRANSMISSION COUPLING ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]
