Visual Mute Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Multi-display [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O60-11 (VMTI) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC)
      Screen display changing
      2.3 V or higher
      → Below 1 V
      → 2.3 V or higher

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Multi-display Assembly)

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [11/2017 - 03/2019]  , or refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [03/2019 - 09/2020]  , or refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [09/2020 - 01/2023]  , or refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [01/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the O60 multi-display assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the O147 radio receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O147-1 (VMTF) - O60-11 (VMTI) Always Below 1 Ω
      O147-1 (VMTF) or O60-11 (VMTI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the multi-display assembly with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2017 - 01/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [01/2023 - ]

    2. Check that the screen display is normal.

      OK

      Screen display is normal.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    END

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2017 - 03/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [03/2019 - ]
