Driver Side Power Window does not Operate with Power Window Master Switch [01/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (D-DOOR MOTOR) 
    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [01/2017 - ]

      Body Electrical > D-Door Motor > Data List

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (D-DOOR MOTOR) 
    1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [01/2017 - ]

      WARNING:

      Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move. During the Active Test, the jam protection function will not operate.

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [01/2017 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ]

    REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [01/2017 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH - AUXILIARY BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the front multiplex network door ECU LH connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Front Multiplex Network Door ECU LH)
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      S9-6 (BDR) - S9-1 (GND) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      S9-16 (BCUT) - S9-1 (GND) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      S9-3 (SIG) - S9-1 (GND) Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S9-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH) 
    1. Disconnect the S2 power window regulator motor assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the S9 front multiplex network door ECU LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S2-2 (B) - S9-5 (BDRJ) Always Below 1 Ω
      S2-1 (GND) - S9-2 (PWE) Always Below 1 Ω
      S2-2 (B) or S9-5 (BDRJ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      S2-1 (GND) or S9-2 (PWE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH) 
    1. Disconnect the U1 multiplex network master switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the S9 front multiplex network door ECU LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U1-11 (B) - S9-15 (CPBJ) Always Below 1 Ω
      U1-12 (GND) - S9-9 (SGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      U1-11 (B) or S9-15 (CPBJ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      U1-12 (GND) or S9-9 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. INSPECT FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH 
    1. Remove the front multiplex network door ECU LH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [01/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [04/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [05/2023 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [01/2017 - 06/2019]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2019 - 04/2020]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [04/2020 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [05/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the U1 multiplex network master switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the S2 power window regulator motor assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U1-20 (UP) - S2-10 (UP) Always Below 1 Ω
      U1-15 (DOWN) - S2-7 (DOWN) Always Below 1 Ω
      U1-20 (UP) or S2-10 (UP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      U1-15 (DOWN) or S2-7 (DOWN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

  9. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the power window regulator motor assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [01/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [05/2023 - ]

    2. Inspect the power window regulator motor assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [01/2017 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [01/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [01/2017 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

  10. INSPECT FRONT DOOR WIRE LH 
    1. Turn the power switch off.

      *1 Front Door Wire LH - -

      (to Multiplex Network Master Switch Assembly Side Connector)
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Vehicle Side Connector)
    2. Disconnect the U1 front door wire LH connector.
    3. Disconnect the US1 front door wire LH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U1-12 (GND) - US1-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      U1-11 (B) - US1-20 Always Below 1 Ω
      U1-12 (GND) or US1-4 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      U1-11 (B) or US1-20 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT DOOR WIRE LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [01/2017 - 06/2019]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2019 - 04/2020]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [04/2020 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [05/2023 - ] 

  11. INSPECT FRONT DOOR WIRE LH 
    1. Turn the power switch off.

      (to Multiplex Network Master Switch Assembly Side Connector)

    2. Disconnect the U1 front door wire LH connector.
    3. Disconnect the US1 front door wire LH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U1-20 (UP) - US1-5 Always Below 1 Ω
      U1-15 (DOWN) - US1-13 Always Below 1 Ω
      U1-20 (UP) or US1-5 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      U1-15 (DOWN) or US1-13 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
