Coolant Temperature Sensor

The sensor converts engine coolant temperature to an electrical signal to the ECA. The ECA then controls EGR operation. Also, if the engine overheats, the ECA will advance ignition timing. The sensor is located in the heater outlet fitting at the front of the intake manifold, near the right-hand valve cover.
