Actuator/Boost Pressure Test
- Inspect wastegate/actuator assembly, hoses, and mechanical linkage for damage. Remove hose from actuator diaphragm. Attach pressure pump in series with 0-15 psi (0-1 kg/cm2 ) pressure gauge to actuator diaphragm.
- Apply 12 psi (.84 kg/cm2 ) to actuator assembly. The rod should move, actuating wastegate linkage. If not, replace actuator. Remove test equipment and reconnect actuator hose.
