Testing Steering Wheel Rotation Sensor Power

Use a jumper wire to connect pins No. 12 and 5 of the 14-pin EVO harness connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between Purple/Orange wire (circuit No. 298) and Yellow/Black wire (circuit No. 837) of steering wheel rotation sensor connector. If battery voltage exists, go to QUICK TEST C7  . If battery voltage does not exist, service Purple/Orange wire (circuit No. 298) between steering wheel rotation sensor and pin No. 7 of EVO control module. After servicing circuit, go to QUICK TEST A1  .
