Switch Test

Test for continuity between indicated switch terminals when switch is in indicated position. See POWER SEAT SWITCH CONTINUITY  table. See Fig 1 . Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.

Switch Position Continuity Between Terminals No.
4-Way Switch
Neutral (1) 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, & 12
Forward 1 & 10; 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11 & 12
Rearward 1 & 11; 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10 & 12
Rear Tilt
Up 1 & 5; 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10, 11 & 12
Down 1 & 4; 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11 & 12
Front Tilt
Up 1 & 12; 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10 & 11
Down 1 & 6; 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11 & 12
Recline
Forward 1 & 2; 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11 & 12
Rearward 1 & 3; 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11 & 12
(1) In neutral position, terminal No. 1 is isolated.
