Pinpoint Test F - Memory Mirrors Inoperative
- Memory Mirror System Voltage Check: Partially remove memory mirror module. Using test light connected to ground, backprobe Orange wire terminal of memory mirror module Black connector. See Figure . If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open Orange wire. Retest system.
- Ignition Input Check At Module: Turn ignition on. Using test light, backprobe Red/Light Blue wire terminal of memory mirror module Gray connector. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open Red/Light Blue wire. Retest system.
- Check Module Ground: Check resistance of Black wire between memory mirror module Black connector and ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open Black wire. Retest system.
- Input Check At Module: Measure voltage of White/Orange wire at memory mirror module Gray connector. If voltage is 10 volts or greater, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open White/Orange wire. Retest system.
- Memory Switch Input To Module Test: Measure voltage between Brown/Light Green wire at memory mirror module Gray connector and ground. At driver's door front trim panel, press set button of memory seat switch. Within 5 seconds, press button No. 1 and read voltage. If voltage is 10 volts or greater, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace memory mirror module and retest system.
- Memory Switch Input Circuits Check: Turn ignition off. Unplug memory mirror module Gray connector. Check continuity of Brown/Light Green wire and Black/Orange wires between memory switch connector and memory module Gray connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace mirror memory seat switch. Retest system. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open Brown/Light Green wire and/or Black/Orange wire. Retest system.
