Test D: Flash Code 3 - DEACTIVATOR Switch Circuit Failure

  1. Check Deactivator Switch Circuitry  - Disconnect speed control servo/actuator connector C103 (located behind left headlight). Using a voltmeter, check voltage between ground and speed control servo/actuator connector C102 terminal No. 9. See Figure . If voltage is 10 volts or less, go to next step. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace speed control servo/actuator and perform SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST.
  2. Check Light Green/Red Wire For Open  - Disconnect deactivator switch connector C128 (located on lower right side of engine compartment). Using a voltmeter, check voltage between ground and deactivator switch connector C128 Light Green/Red wire terminal. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair Light Green/Red wire between instrument panel fuse block and deactivator switch. Perform SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST.
  3. Check Deactivator Switch  Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between deactivator switch terminals (switch side). If resistance is less tan 5 ohms, repair White/Pink wire between deactivator switch and speed control servo/actuator. Perform SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, replace deactivator switch and perform SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST.
