Test C: All Power Windows Are Inoperative
- Check Power Supply To Master Switch
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect master window switch 4-pin connector C521. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a voltmeter, check voltage between ground and master window switch 4-pin connector C521 terminal No. 4 (Tan/Yellow wire). If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, go to step 3).
- Check Black Wire For Open
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect master window switch 5-pin connector C522. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and master window switch 5-pin connector C522 terminal No. 5 (Black wire). If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace master window switch and retest system operation. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire and retest system.
- Check Sliding Roof Panel Operation
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Operate sliding roof panel. If sliding roof panel does not operate, go to next step. If sliding roof panel operates, go to step 5).
- Check Black/Yellow Wire For Open
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect SCIL module 26-pin connector C288. Disconnect delayed accessory relays No. 1 and 2 (located behind left side of instrument panel). Using an ohmmeter, check resistance in Black/Yellow wire between 26-pin SCIL connector C288 terminal No. 13 and delayed accessory relay No. 2 connector terminal No. 86. See Figure
and Fig 1
. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace SCIL module and retest system operation. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black/Yellow wire and retest system operation.
- Check Input To Delayed Accessory Relay
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect delayed accessory relay No. 2 (located behind left side of instrument panel). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using NGS tester, access SCIL module active command one-touch window down and ACCY delay. Trigger ACCY RLY ON. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and delayed accessory relay No. 2 connector terminal No. 86 (Black/Yellow wire). See Fig 1
. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black/Yellow wire and retest system operation.
- Check White/Yellow Wire For Open
- Using a voltmeter, check voltage between ground and delayed accessory relay No. 2 connector terminals No. 30 and 85 (White/Yellow wires). See Fig 1
. If battery voltage is present at both terminals, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present at both terminals, repair open in White/Yellow wire(s) and retest system operation.
- Check Tan/Yellow Wire For Short To Ground
- Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and delayed accessory relay No. 2 connector terminal No. 87 (Tan/Yellow wire). See Fig 1
. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, go to step 11).
- Check DDM For Short To Ground
- Disconnect DDM 4-pin connector C457 (located in top front corner of driver's door). Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and delayed accessory relay No. 2 connector terminal No. 87 (Tan/Yellow wire). If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, replace driver door module and retest system operation.
- Check Master Window Switch For Short To Ground
- Disconnect master window switch 4-pin connector C521. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and delayed accessory relay No. 2 connector terminal No. 87 (Tan/Yellow wire). See Fig 1
. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, replace master window switch and retest system operation.
- Check Passenger Window Switch For Short To Ground
- Disconnect passenger window switch connector C602. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and delayed accessory relay No. 2 connector terminal No. 87 (Tan/Yellow wire). If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, replace passenger window switch and retest system operation.
- Check Tan/Yellow Wire For Open
- Using an ohmmeter, check resistance in Tan/Yellow wire between delayed accessory relay No. 2 connector terminal No. 87 and master window switch 4-pin connector C521. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace delayed accessory relay No. 2 and retest system operation. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Tan/Yellow wire and retest system operation.
