Test 4: Traction Control System Cannot Be Disabled

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect traction control switch (C308). Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between traction control switch terminal No. 3 (Green/White wire) and ground. If voltage is present, go to next step. If voltage is not present, repair faulty circuit(s).
  2. Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between traction control switch terminal No. 4 and terminal No. 3, component side, while depressing traction control switch. See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace traction control switch.
  3. Disconnect ABCM connector (C135). Measure resistance between ABCM connector terminal No. 14 (White/Violet wire) and traction control switch terminal No. 4 (White/Violet wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace ABCM. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair White/Violet wire.
