Test 3: Stability Assist/Traction Control Switch Indicator Is Never/Always On

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect TCS switch connector (C308). Using a DVOM, measure resistance between TCS switch connector terminals No. 1 and 3 (component side). See Figure . If resistance is about 32 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not about 32 ohms, replace TCS switch.
  2. Disconnect ABCM connector (C155). Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ABCM connector terminal No. 42 (Black/Green wire) and ground. If voltage is present, repair circuit. If voltage is not present, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between ABCM connector terminal No. 42 (Black/Green wire) and TCS switch connector terminal No. 1 (Black/Green wire). Measure resistance between ABCM connector terminal No. 42 (Black/Green wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms between ABCM and TCS switch, and more than 10 k/ohms between ABCM and ground, replace ABCM. If resistance is not as specified, repair Black/Green wire.
