Seat Control Switch

Remove seat control switch. See Figure . Measure resistance between indicated seat control switch terminals with switch in appropriate position. See SEAT CONTROL SWITCH TEST  table. If resistance is not as specified, replace seat control switch.

SEAT CONTROL SWITCH TEST

Switch Position Measure Resistance Between Terminals No. Resistance (Ohms)
All Positions 4 & 8 (1) Greater Than 5
Forward 4 & 6 Less Than 5
Rearward 4 & 7 Less Than 5
Front Down 1 & 4 Less Than 5
Front Up 4 & 5 Less Than 5
Rear Down 3 & 4 Less Than 5
Rear Up 2 & 4 Less Than 5
Entire Seat Down 1, 3 & 4 Less Than 5
Entire Seat Up 4, 2 & 5 Less Than 5
(1) With switches at rest, resistance between seat control switch terminal No. 8 and all other terminals should be less than 5 ohms.
