On-Vehicle Testing: Notes

CAUTION:
To prevent damage to generator, do not make jumper wire connections except as directed.
CAUTION:
Do not allow any metal object to come in contact with housing and internal diode cooling fans with ignition on or off. A short circuit will result and burn out diodes.
NOTE:
Battery posts and cable clamps must be clean and tight for accurate meter indications.
NOTE:
Before performing on-vehicle testing, turn off all accessories and lights. Place vehicle in Neutral and apply parking brake.
