  1. Ensure vehicle is in Park. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect NGS tester, to DLC. Retrieve and record continuous DTCs. Clear Continuous DTCs. Using NGS tester, perform DSM self-test. If any DTCs are retrieved, perform appropriate test. See DSM DTC TEST INDEX  table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If no DTCs are retrieved, go to next step.
  2. Adjust driver's seat to new position, and store for memory position No. 1. Adjust driver's seat to different position, and press UNLOCK on remote transmitter. If driver's seat moves to position No. 1, go to next step. If driver's seat does not move to position No. 1, see appropriate REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS article.
  3. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect memory set switch harness connector C503 and RAP module harness connector C257. See Figure . Measure resistance of Brown/Light Green wire between memory set switch connector C503 terminal No. 4 and RAP module connector C257 terminal No. 6. Measure resistance of Black/Orange wire between memory set switch connector C503 terminal No. 3 and RAP module connector C257 terminal No. 18. If each resistance is 5 ohms or less, see appropriate REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS article. If each resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in appropriate wire(s). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
