Rear Electronic Module

CAUTION: If replacing Rear Electronic Module (REM), it is necessary to upload module configuration information using the Ford Service Function (FSF) card and the New Generation Star (NGS) tester. After installation, this information needs to be downloaded into new REM. NGS tester will not hold downloaded information for more than 24 hours.

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove luggage compartment light. Remove right rear luggage compartment trim panel. Remove 3 Rear Electronic Module (REM) bracket retaining nuts. Disconnect REM harness connectors and remove REM. To install, reverse removal procedure.
