Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located below left side of instrument panel, to right of steering column. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Move shift selector lever, stopping in each gear. Monitor TR PIDS TR_D and TR_V while wiggling wiring harness, tapping on sensor or driving vehicle. Compare PIDs to digital TR sensor output chart. See TR SENSOR PID OUTPUT SPECIFICATIONS  table. If PIDs match digital TR sensor output specifications, digital TR is okay at this time. If PID outputs change while wiggling wiring harness, tapping on sensor or while driving vehicle, problem may be intermittent. If PIDs do not match digital TR sensor output specifications, replace digital TR sensor.
