Removal And Installation: Generator

1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT 
2. Remove the mechanical cooling fan. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
3. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 1: Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner Removal Note 

1. Rotate counter-clockwise to release the tension on the accessory drive belt.

Item 2: Accessory Drive Belt Removal Note 

1. Position the accessory drive belt aside.

Item 10: Generator Removal Note 

1. The generator must be removed from underneath the vehicle.
