Transmission Range Sensor

  1. Place range selector lever in Neutral position. Remove manual control lever. Loosen Transmission Range (TR) sensor retaining bolts. Install TR Sensor Adjuster (307-351). See Fig 1 . Tighten TR sensor retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install manual control lever and tighten nut.
  2. Check for park gear engagement. Start engine and ensure indicated gear positions match transmission response. If operation is not okay, check shift cable adjustment. Verify vehicle only starts in Park and Neutral, and back-up lights operate.
