Removal & Installation: Compressor: Notes

CAUTION: If installing a new air conditioning compressor due to an internal failure of old unit, you must carry out following procedures to remove contamination from air conditioning system. If A/C flushing equipment is available, carry out flushing of air conditioning system prior to installing a new air conditioning compressor. See appropriate GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article. If A/C flushing equipment is not available, carry out filtering of air conditioning system after a new air conditioning compressor has been installed. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Install a new evaporator core orifice as directed by A/C flushing or filtering procedure.
