Cable Adjustment

  1. Remove the retaining clip from the speed control actuator cable adjuster.

  2. NOTE: Make sure the throttle is in the fully closed position.

  3. Pull on the speed control actuator cable to take up slack, then back off at least one notch so there is approximately 3 mm (0.118 in) of slack in the speed control actuator cable.
  4. Insert the speed control actuator cable retaining clip and snap into place.

  5. Verify that the throttle linkage operates freely and smoothly.
