Shock Absorber and Spring Assembly - Front

NOTE: Use the hex holding feature to prevent the stud from turning while removing or installing the stabilizer bar link nut.

Remove the wheel and tire assembly. For additional information, refer to WHEEL AND TIRE - FRONT .
Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 2: Stabilizer Link Nut Removal Note

Have an assistant pry downward on the stabilizer bar to release the tension when removing the nut.

Item 3: Shock Absorber-to-Lower Arm Bolt Installation Note

Do not tighten until the installation procedure is complete and the weight of the vehicle is resting on the wheel and tire assemblies.
