The power seat is inoperative - passenger

The power seat moves but is noisy
  • Seat tracks.

The power seat moves but is loose
  • Fastening hardware.
  • Seat tracks.
  • Power seat motors.

The power seat does not make full travel
  • Track obstruction.

The power seat does not move horizontally/vertically - passenger
  • Circuitry.

The memory seat is inoperative

The memory seat does not operate correctly - does not operate using the memory set switch

The memory seat does not operate correctly - does not operate using the remote transmitter

  • Keyless entry transmitter.
  • Central security module.
RUN DSM self-test. If codes are present, REFER to the DTC Index; if no codes are present, REFER to HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS .
No communication with the module - DSM
  • Fuse.
  • Circuitry.
  • DSM.
REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
No communication with the module - unable to carry out on-demand self-test with the DSM
  • Fuse.
  • DSM.
  • Circuitry.
REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
The power lumbar is inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • Seat control switch.
  • Power lumbar motor assembly.
Go To PINPOINT TEST H  (driver) or Go To PINPOINT TEST I  (passenger).
All climate controlled seats are inoperative
  • CJB Fuse F1.118 (30A).
  • Circuitry.
DEPOWER the supplemental restraint system (SRS). REFER to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS . DISCONNECT driver seat C327 or passenger seat C315 of the affected seat and CONNECT restraint system diagnostic tool 501-095 to the affected seat connector. CONNECT the battery ground cable. CHECK driver CCSM C3031b-4 (or passenger CCSM 3036b-4), circuit 1566 (RD/YE) for battery voltage. If OK, REPAIR ground to driver CCSM C3031b-3 (or passenger CCM 3036b), circuit 1205 (BK). Once the repair is complete, DISCONNECT the restraint system diagnostic tool from the seat connector and CONNECT the seat connector of the affected seat. REPOWER the SRS. REFER to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .
A single climate controlled seat is inoperative/does not operate correctly
  • Circuitry.
  • Climate controlled seat ducts.
  • Climate controlled seat switch.
  • Seat fan motor.
  • Seat cushion TED.
  • Seat backrest TED.
  • CCSM.
For driver, Go To PINPOINT TEST J .
No communication with the driver CCSM
  • Circuitry.
  • CCSM.
DEPOWER the supplemental restraint system (SRS). REFER to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS . DISCONNECT driver seat C327 or passenger seat C315 of the affected seat and CONNECT restraint system diagnostic tool 501-095 to the affected seat connector. CONNECT the battery ground cable. CHECK driver CCSM C3031b-2 (or passenger CCSM 3036b-2), circuit 1003 (GY/YE) for ignition voltage and driver CCSM C3031b-3 (or passenger C3036b-3), circuit 1205 (BK) for ground. REPAIR as needed. If OK, REFER to BATTERY & CHARGING SYSTEM . Once the repair is complete, DISCONNECT the restraint system diagnostic tool from the seat side air bag module body harness connector and CONNECT the seat side air bag module connector of the affected seat. REPOWER the SRS. REFER to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .
