Front Wheel Speed Sensor and Sensor Ring: Material

MATERIAL CHART

Item Specification
Silicone Gasket and Sealant F7AZ-19554-EA WSE-M4G323-A4
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on a hoist. For additional information, refer to LIFTING .
  2. For vehicles with clip-in sensor, remove the parts in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.

  3. For vehicles with bolt-in sensor, remove the parts in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.

  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 4: Wheel Speed Sensor Harness Removal Note 

  1. Gain access to the speed sensor harness.
    1. Remove the pin-type retainers.
    2. Position the inner splash shield aside.

  2. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.

  3. Unclip the wheel speed sensor harness.

Item 6: Wheel Speed Sensor Ring Removal Note 

  1. The wheel speed sensor ring is integral to the wheel hub assembly and is not serviced separately. For additional information, refer to FRONT article or REAR article.

Item 2: Wheel Speed Sensor Installation Note 

  1. Apply a 2.5 mm (0.1 in) bead of sealant to the outside diameter of the wheel speed sensor.

Item 1: Clip (Vehicles with Clip-In Sensor) Installation Note 

  1. Make sure the wheel speed sensor is fully seated before installation of the new clip.

Item 1: Bolt (Vehicles with Bolt-In Sensor) Installation Note 

  1. Make sure the wheel speed sensor is fully seated before installation of the new bolt.
