Removal and Installation

CAUTION: The front wheel speed sensor acts as a wheel bearing seal. Do not operate the vehicle without the front wheel speed sensor installed.
  1. Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.

  2. WARNING: The electrical power to the air suspension system must be turned off prior to hoisting, jacking, or towing an air suspension vehicle. Failure to do so can result in unexpected inflation or deflation of the air springs, which can result in shifting of the vehicle during these operations. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
  3. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & HOISTING .
  4. Disconnect the routing clips.

  5. Clean the area around the front wheel speed sensor of all dirt and foreign material before removal.
  6. CAUTION: Be sure to remove all dirt and foreign material from the area before installation.

  7. Remove the front wheel speed sensor.
    • Push the tabs inward using a flat-blade screwdriver.
    • Pry the sensor out of its housing.
  8. NOTE: If the front wheel speed sensor wire clips are damaged, repair kit 2C577 is available.
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
