Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) With Traction Control and Stability Assist
The anti-lock brake system (ABS) with stability assist consists of the following components:
- active brake booster with integral solenoid
- brake booster release switch
- stability assist event indicator
- steering wheel position sensor
- brake pressure sensors
- stability assist switch
- lateral accelerometer (part of stability control sensor cluster)
- longitudinal accelerometer (part of stability control sensor cluster)
- roll rate sensor (part of stability control sensor cluster)
- yaw rate sensor (part of stability control sensor cluster)
For removal and installation of the brake booster release switch, refer to POWER BRAKE ACTUATION .
For removal and installation of the front wheel speed sensor indicators, refer to FRONT SUSPENSION - 4X2 for 4x2 vehicles or FRONT SUSPENSION - 4X4 for 4x4 vehicles.
For removal and installation of the rear wheel speed sensor indicator, refer to REAR DRIVE HALFSHAFTS .
For removal and installation of the steering wheel position sensor, refer to STEERING COLUMN .
