Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) With Traction Control and Stability Assist

The anti-lock brake system (ABS) with stability assist consists of the following components:

• active brake booster with integral solenoid
• brake booster release switch
• stability assist event indicator
• steering wheel position sensor
• brake pressure sensors
• stability assist switch
• lateral accelerometer (part of stability control sensor cluster)
• longitudinal accelerometer (part of stability control sensor cluster)
• roll rate sensor (part of stability control sensor cluster)
• yaw rate sensor (part of stability control sensor cluster)

For removal and installation of the brake booster release switch, refer to POWER BRAKE ACTUATION .

For removal and installation of the front wheel speed sensor indicators, refer to FRONT SUSPENSION - 4X2 for 4x2 vehicles or FRONT SUSPENSION - 4X4 for 4x4 vehicles.

For removal and installation of the rear wheel speed sensor indicator, refer to REAR DRIVE HALFSHAFTS .
