Digital Transmission Range (TR) Sensor: Removal
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Remove the driveshaft. For additional information, refer to DRIVESHAFT .
- Loosen the 4 converter-to-manifold nuts.
- Using a suitable transmission jack, support the transmission.
- Remove the transmission crossmember-to-floor pan screws and lower the transmission enough to gain access to the TR sensor.
- Remove and discard the tie strap from the digital TR sensor connector boot.
- Slide the rubber boot back and disconnect the digital TR sensor connector.
- Disconnect the transmission shift cable from the manual control lever.
- Remove the digital TR sensor screws and remove the digital TR sensor.
WARNING:
Secure the transmission to the transmission jack with a safety chain. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
