Pinpoint Test E: No Communication With The Remote Audio/Climate Control Module: Overview

CAUTION: Use the correct probe adaptor(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adaptor(s) may damage the connector.

E1 CHECK THE REMOTE AUDIO/CLIMATE CONTROL MODULE FOR VOLTAGE
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Remote Audio/Climate Control Module C3160b.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between the remote audio/climate control module C3160b-2, circuit 1499 (PK/LG), harness side and ground.

- Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?
Yes : GO to E2.

No : VERIFY the battery junction box (BJB) fuse 23 (10A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the voltage supply. CLEAR the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). REPEAT the self-test.
E2 CHECK CIRCUIT 676 (PK/OG) FOR AN OPEN
- Key in OFF position.
- Measure the resistance between the remote audio/climate control module C3160a-3, circuit 676 (PK/OG), harness side and ground.

- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to continue diagnosis of the communication network.

No : REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
