- CHECK that the selector lever indicator adjustment is correct. REFER to SELECTOR LEVER INDICATOR ADJUSTMENT in this article. ADJUST the selector lever indicator if necessary. TEST the system for normal operation. If the condition persists, GO to PINPOINT TEST B .

- INSPECT the gearshift lever and shrouds for damage and incorrect installation. REPAIR as necessary. REFER to SELECTOR LEVER in this article.

- Water enters inside the vehicle

- Shift cable rubber grommet
|
- SECURE the grommet to the bulkhead.

- Torn shift cable rubber grommet
