Accelerator Pedal: Removal

For information on Ford Color Coded Illustrations refer to OEM Color Coding .

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: To prevent setting Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF position prior to disconnecting the accelerator pedal electrical connector.

Remove the retainers and the under dash panel.

Disconnect the accelerator pedal sensor electrical connector.

1. Remove the bolt.
  Torque: 33 lb.in (3.7 Nm)
2. Slide the accelerator pedal sensor assembly upward and remove.
