Vacuum Amplifier
- Remove air cleaner. Disconnect vacuum hose from amplifier to EGR solenoid at solenoid valve.
- On all models, connect vacuum gauge to disconnected hose. Run engine at idle and disconnect vacuum hose from amplifier to carburetor at carburetor.
- Gauge reading should be 1.8-2.2 in. Hg. Reconnect hose to carburetor and slowly increase engine speed to 3500 RPM. Gauge should read 3.6 in. Hg. Replace vacuum amplifier, if it does not respond as outlined.
