Cruise Control Systems: Description

A main switch is used to turn system on and off. The main switch is located on the dash. A control switch which controls "SET", "COAST" and "RESUME" functions, is used to set or adjust desired speed. System will not operate at speeds under 25 MPH.

If vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, and speed drops 5 MPH below the set speed, OD transmission function is canceled or prevented by the control unit. When vehicle speed returns to within 2 MPH of set speed, and remains there for 20 seconds, OD transmission function is restored. Brake application cancels cruise control function and erases stored speed from control unit memory.
