Data Link Connector: Testing and Inspection

Grounding Test Connector Pin:

The Test Connector is a green, one pin connector located in the engine compartment. When grounded, the test connector activates the self-diagnostic system and causes the dash mounted "CHECK" light to flash malfunction codes.

Test connector signal can be checked at ECU terminal 1I, ignition switch "ON." With test connector grounded, terminal voltage should be approximately 0V. With connector not grounded, voltage should be approximately 12V. If not as specified, check wiring between test connector and ECU.
