Malfunction Indicator Lamp: Testing and Inspection

1. Connect terminal 1A of ECU to a body ground. Refer to ECU pin connections in this section under ENGINE CONTROL UNIT (ECU).
2. Start engine and check that MIL light illuminates.
3. If lamp does not light, check meter fuse, bulb and wiring harness between meter and ECU.
