Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The mass airflow sensor detects the amount of air entering the engine and sends a coresponding signal to the powertrain control module engine (PCME).

REMARKS
- The intake air temperature sensor and the fuel pump switch are integral components within the mass airflow sensor assembly.
- The mass airflow sensor is powered by a 5 Volt reference voltage.
