Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Testing and Inspection

CAUTION:
- Do not drop subject the sensor to sharp shocks.
- Do not put or allow anything in the sensor.






VISUAL INSPECTION
- Disconnect the mass airflow sensor connector.
- Remove the mass airflow sensor.
- Check for damage of the sensor.
- Install the mass airflow sensor.

Engine Signal Monitor-49 9200 162 And Harness Adapter-49 G018 903:

VOLTAGE INSPECTION
- Disconnect the powertrain control module engine (PCME) connectors.
- Connect the special service tool (SST) (Engine Signal Monitor and Adapter Harness) to the PCME as shown.
- Place the SST(Sheet) on the SST (Engine Signal Monitor).
- Check the voltage of terminals 2O and 2F.
- If not as specified, replace the mass airflow sensor.

Tightening torque: 7.9 - 10.7 Nm (70 - 95.4 in.lb.)
