Cruise Control Main Switch

Disconnect cruise control main switch harness connector. Check continuity between specified terminals of cruise control main switch with switch in specified position. See CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST table. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . If continuity is not as specified, replace cruise control main switch.

Switch Position Continuity Between Terminals
MPV
Off (1) A & B; (1) C & F
On (1) A & B; C, D & F; (1) C & F
Protege
Off (1) A & B; (1) D & E
On (1) A & B; C, D & E; (1) D & E
(1) Apply battery voltage across these terminals to test switch back-lighting or indicator light.
