Engine Disassembly/Assembly: Notes

  1. Remove the oil pressure switch. See OIL PRESSURE INSPECTION .
  2. Remove the OCV. See OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the oil pipe. See TIMING BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
  5. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
  6. Remove the intake-air system.
  7. Remove the exhaust system. See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  8. Remove the generator.
  9. Remove the oil filter. See OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT .
  10. Remove the oil cooler.
  11. Remove the thermostat. See THERMOSTAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  12. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.
  13. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
