Service Intervals: Transmission

Check transmission fluid level at every engine oil change. Under normal service, change transmission fluid and filter at 150,000-mile intervals. See DRAINING & REFILLING . Service all models at 30,000-mile intervals when used under the following conditions:
- Towing a trailer or using a camper or car top carrier.
- Extensive idling or low-speed driving for long distances or in heavy commercial use such as delivery, police or taxi.
- Extreme dusty conditions or off-road use.
