Key Interlock Inspection

Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
Shift the selector lever to R position.
Verify that the key cannot be turned to LOCK position.
Shift the selector lever to P position.
Verify that the key can be turned to LOCK position.
- If a malfunction is found, perform the instrument cluster input/output check mode. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER INPUT/OUTPUT CHECK MODE .)
