FLASH CODE 2 - STOP SWITCH CIRCUIT FAILURE PINPOINT TEST REFERENCE

PINPOINT TEST 10 FLASH CODE 2 - STOP LAMP SWITCH CIRCUIT FAILURE
STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK THE STOP LAMP OPERATION
  • Apply and release the brake pedal while observing the stoplamps.
  • Do the stop lamps operate correctly? 
 Yes GO to the next step.
No See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART - STOP LAMPS to continue diagnosis of the stop lamps.
2 CHECK THE STOP LAMP BULBS
  • Check the stop lamps for the presence of aftermarket LED lights.
  • Are the correct stop lamp bulbs installed? 
 Yes GO to the next step.
No INSTALL the correct stop lamp bulbs. TEST the system for normal operation.
3 CHECK CIRCUIT (LG) FOR AN OPEN
  • While applying the brake pedal, measure the resistance between the cruise control actuator 0120-101 pin 4, circuit (LG), harness side and ground.
  • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
 Yes INSTALL a new cruise control actuator.
See SPEED CONTROL ACTUATOR . REPEAT the self-test.
No REPAIR the circuit. REPEAT the self-test.
