Installation Note

NOTE:
  • Axle tube bushing installation shown, axle housing bushing is a similar procedure.
  1. Position the bushing and the tube bushing installation or equivalent tools.
    1. Position the bushing.
    2. Position Gauge Ring SST  (204-206).
    3. Position Bushing Replacer Collet SST  (205-372).
    4. Position Bushing Remover/Replacer Cup SST  (205-371).
    5. Position Drawbolt SST  (205-374).
    6. Thread Bushing Replacer Adapter SST  (205-370)on the Drawbolt SST  (205-374).

  2. Tighten the Drawbolt SST  (205-374) to install the bushing.
    • Remove the tools.
  3. Install the front axle assembly. See AXLE ASSEMBLY FRONT REMOVAL / INSTALLATION  .
  4. Check the fluid level and fill the axle to specification.
    • Use axle lubricant meeting specification API Service GI-5
  5. Lower the vehicle.
