DTC P2196, P2198 (MZI-3.5) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

| DETECTION CONDITION |
- A HO2S indicating rich at the end of a test is trying to correct for an over-rich condition. The test fails when the fuel control system no longer detects switching for a calibrated amount of time

| POSSIBLE CAUSE |
- Front HO2S malfunction
- Fuel injector malfunction
- Insufficient fuel line pressure
- Leakage exhaust gas
- Air suction at intake-air system malfunction
- Leakage fuel
- MAF sensor malfunction
- ECT sensor malfunction
- PCM malfunction
