Pinpoint Test 8: The Blower Motor Does Not Operate Correctly - Electronic Manual Temperature Control Module (EMTC)

-
PINPOINT TEST 8: THE BLOWER MOTOR DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY - ELECTRONIC MANUAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL MODULE (EMTC)

Normal Operation

The blower motor is provided ground from the front blower motor resistor assembly through circuit (V/O). The resistor gets a ground from circuit (B/G) in the lowest blower setting. In MED-LO and MED-HI the resistor gets ground from the blower motor switch through circuit (G/W) or (GY/B), depending on selected speed. In HI, the blower motor is grounded directly through the blower motor switch from circuit (V/O) to circuit (B/G). The blower switch receives its ground from circuit (B/G).

Possible Causes
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Blower motor resistor
- Blower motor switch
