Steering Wheel And Column Removal/Installation: Notes
WARNING:
- Handling the air bag module improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings before handling the air bag module. (See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS .) (See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE CAUTIONS .)
- Remove the front scuff plate inner (driver's side). (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the front side trim (driver's side). (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the side wall. (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the front console. (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the bonnet release lever. (See HOOD LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the lower panel. (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the knee bolster. (See DASHBOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the meter hood. (See METER HOOD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove in the order indicated in the table in illustration.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
